Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) May 27, 2014
For the second year in a row, Securityhunter has been included in the top 25 federal/defense contractor list for the Greater Baltimore area, according to the Baltimore Business Journal (BBJ). Securityhunter provides a full range of electronic and information security to the Federal government. Securityhunter designs, installs and maintains electronic and information security countermeasures. The BBJ list of top federal and defense contractors in the Baltimore area for the year 2014 was compiled by assessing the amount of federal contracts awarded in Maryland for the first three quarters of fiscal year 2013. The information used to compile the list was obtained from USAspending.gov and from public records.
Companies evaluated to be included in the BBJ Book of Lists needed to be headquartered in the Greater Baltimore area. Securityhunter, which specializes in providing a broad range of security solutions for federal agencies, had federal contracts totaling $10.7 million awarded in Maryland for the first three quarters of fiscal year 2013. Michael S. Rogers, CEO of Securityhunter, says, “Helping to secure our nation is central to Securityhunter. We are thrilled to be making a difference in keeping the U.S. safe.” Securityhunter was also on the BBJ list in 2013 for largest defense and federal contractors in the Greater Baltimore area.
