Clayton Homes Unveils Newest Features for Tech-Savvy Homeowners
Maryville, TN (PRWEB) May 23, 2014 -- With tablets, smartphones and smart appliances becoming prominent features of American lifestyles, Clayton Homes, the nation’s largest home builder*, is now unveiling several innovative amenities to its customers.
Earlier this month, Clayton Homes presented its new Gen-Now Concept Home at the annual Berkshire-Hathaway Meeting to Warren Buffett and shareholders. The home was technologically integrated with devices and appliances on the cutting edge of technology, and many of those features will be available in other Clayton Homes models.
“For most people smart devices aren’t novel, they’re the norm,” Kevin Clayton, CEO of Clayton Homes said. “Recognizing this, we’re demonstrating to homeowners the ability to experience and control homeownership both in real life and through their smart device.”
Some of the newest tech options, which will be available as an upgrade on select homes, include:
• Environment and security settings that can be controlled from anywhere using a tablet or smartphone
• A tablet mount on the wall that provides a dock and charging station for your smart tablet with virtually no visual impact when not in use
• The ability to use your tablet as an information hub, smart house and stereo remote control, multimedia library, video conferencing center and more
• Smart appliance integration such as a Nest® programmable thermostat, Sonos® stereo system, Hunter Douglas® automated blinds and Quickset® keyless entry
“By embracing the newest home technology available, our customers will have the ability to customize their homes to reflect their unique personalities and lifestyles,” Clayton said.
