This year’s marketing workshop, a Berrett-Koehler Authors Cooperative initiative, will focus on practical, usable, and effective actions to drive book sales and increase visibility.
The workshop, “This Is How You Do It” will take place on July 17th and 18th at the Marine’s Memorial Club & Hotel located at 609 Sutter Street in San Francisco. The Hotel has a small block of rooms reserved for the event.
BK Author and event co-chair Marcia Reynolds says, “Being a 'BK Author' is a special thing, mostly because of the wonderful kinship shared among our author community.” When asked about the idea behind this event, Marcia responded, “We’ve got provocative speakers to help move not just your books, but your entire business forward. From increasing sales, to speaking, to creating apps and add-ons, your brain will be piqued with practical action items and steps you can take the moment you return home!”
The workshop will offer powerhouse presentations from best-selling authors such as Alexandra Watkins as well as national thought leaders and consultants including Becky Robinson of Weaving Influence.
Each session within the program is designed as a complete “mini-worship,” providing practical strategies and creative ways to boost book sales, improve messaging, and build influence.
All presenters will reveal strategies for creating an authentic, high-impact message. Topics include: “Polishing your core message,” “Using social media to build a loyal community,” and “Securing speaking engagement, and speaking like a pro.” There will also be an additional closing session focused on developing a customized plan to promote a book or business platform. The cost to attend is $475.00.
