We hope that our program management course will open up new opportunities, both for our students and their employers.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 29, 2014

Project Management Academy® (PMA) announced today the launch of their new Program Management Fundamentals course. This class, available in video-on-demand format, is designed to teach students how to effectively utilize scarce resources between similar projects in order to increase productivity, reduce waste, and eliminate project conflict. Because PMA is a Registered Education Provider with Project Management Institute (PMI)®, this course qualifies for 6 Professional Development Units (PDUs) applicable toward maintaining current PMI certifications.

“Program management seeks to consolidate managerial and entrepreneurial resources between groups of similar projects with the ultimate goal of more effectively meeting a company’s strategic objectives,” said John Smith, president and CEO of Project Management Academy. “Program management is a step above project management in terms of organizational structure. Consequently, a fundamental understanding of program management is essential for advancement in many mid-to-large-sized project management firms.”

The Program Management Fundamentals course is the latest addition to PMA’s Club PDU program, a training service intended to help students maintain their current PMI certifications while providing continuing education specific to their personal interests and career needs. The course, like all other courses in the Club PDU library, is available in video-on-demand format.

“We hope that our program management course will open up new opportunities, both for our students and their employers,” Smith added. “Optimizing resource allocation across multiple projects will certainly prove beneficial to any company, and being able to recognize and correct these inefficiencies is an invaluable skill for the individual project manager.”
