Telephonic Press Conference: Latino Groups Issue Congress Preliminary Scores on Immigration Reform Before Final Scores Are Released in July
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) May 23, 2014 -- Telephonic press call with photo-op below on National Immigration Score Card 2014 on Wednesday, May 28 12:30 p.m. EDT (9:30 a.m. PDT) with dial-in: 866-952-1906 / ID: IMMIGRATION.
National Latino voter engagement and civil rights groups will hold a press call on Wednesday, May 28 to preview scores that House Members can expect to receive in coming weeks unless they take swift action on commonsense immigration reform with a path to citizenship.
The National Immigration Score Card 2014 is a joint project of the Hispanic Federation, the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA), the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Mi Familia Vota Education Fund, NCLR (National Council of La Raza) and Voto Latino Action Fund.
The project was initially announced in December, 2012, after a historic Latino voter turnout in the November election that year. At that time, Latino leaders pledged to issue score cards to educate our community on how Congress handled this critical issue.
