Argo Marketing Group Announces Support for the Travis Mills Project; Cares for National U.S. Veterans and Families
Lewiston, ME (PRWEB) May 27, 2014 -- Argo Marketing Group announces their partnership with the Travis Mills Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed to benefit and assist wounded and injured veterans and their families. Argo Marketing Group will provide social media services to promote The Travis Mills Foundation’s year-round national veterans family center and encourage donations towards finding it a permanent home and towards its construction.
“As a U.S. Army veteran myself, I feel personally connected to this project and I am very proud to announce that Argo Marketing Group will be providing our services to help in the fundraising effort,” said Jason Levesque, CEO and founder of Argo Marketing Group, “Maine is a great location for this facility and I know it will provide a safe center for our military members and their families.”
Argo Marketing Group is a veteran-owned customer engagement center based in Maine with locations in Lewiston, Portland, and Pittsfield. The company is proud of their Maine roots and strives to connect their company and employees to the community.
The National Veterans Family Center will be the nation’s first veteran owned recreational facility for disabled veterans and their families. Travis Mills, a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army is one of the few quadruple amputees in the United States; he sustained his injuries during his third tour of duty in Afghanistan. The recreational facility funded through the efforts of the Travis Mills Foundation will provide veterans and their families a space to participate in confidence building activities to inspire wounded veterans.
The National Veterans Family Center is currently seeking a permanent location, and will then begin construction as soon as possible. Local Maine companies such as Argo Marketing Group and Knights of Columbus, as well as nationally recognized companies such as the VFW and AMVETS have announced their support for the camp and will be providing a wide variety of services to help finance the project’s construction.
The goal of the National Veterans Family Center (NVFC) is to provide a free camp week for disabled veterans and their families to attend. This year the camp is focused on finding a permanent location in Maine and is hoping to generate between 1.5-2 million dollars to complete the project.

About the National Veterans Family Center
The NVFC (nicknamed the Travis Mills Project) will be one of the first veteran owned recreational center for U.S. veterans and their families. It is the vision of Travis Mills, a U.S. Army Staff Sargent who came into contact with an IED on his third tour of duty in Iraq and just days before his twenty-fifth birthday. He was the fifth surviving quadruple amputee in the United States. It was Travis’ dream to have a recreational camp in Maine for disable veterans and their families.
