Food-Safe Conversion Plates

We are excited to offer a product that allows crafters the opportunity to convert their Spellbinders machines to decorate cakes.

Winchester, VA (PRWEB) May 27, 2014

May 27th, Icing Images is now offering a food-safe conversion plate set to allow customers who own the craft version, the Spellbinders Grand Calibur, of this system to convert it for use with edible products. The Grand Calibur is used to cut and emboss paper for creating decorative scrapbooking designs. Icing Images sells the food-safe version of this Spellbinders product as the Sweet Accents™ system, packaged with Premium Icing Sheets™ and food-safe die cutters. This new product is being offered to allow customers who own the craft version of this system to convert it for use with edible icing sheets.

The Food-Safe Conversion Plate set includes four plates and a mat: one pink cutting plate, 2 white base plates, one grey embossing folder and one silicone mat. Customers insert either die cutters or embossing folders between two plates with icing sheets in order to cut or emboss different designs to decorate cakes. The plates are manually cranked through the system to create cleanly cut designs that are either applied directly to the surface of the cake or combined with gum paste, fondant, Isomalt or modeling chocolate to create a variety of three dimensional decorations.

“We are excited to offer a product that allows crafters the opportunity to convert their Spellbinders machines to decorate cakes. We found many of our customers already owned the Grand Calibur Machine. This product allows them to use it with food products rather than spend money on a new food-safe system.” – Deborah Coughlin, Icing Images owner.

The Food-Safe Conversion Plates will allow customers to work over 40 food-safe die cutters and 7 food-safe embossing folders offered by Icing Images. Icing Images plans to launch additional die cutter sets in late July, in time for the International Cake Exploration Societe’ Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Icing Images co-mingles customer requests with the creativity of cake artist, Peggy Tucker, Certified Master Sugar Artist, to design new accessories for their Sweet Accents system. The company’s goal is to help home and retail bakers and cake decorators work more creatively and productively by saving time using products that are easy to work with.

Icing Images has been a leading distributor of edible photo and edible paper art supplies for over a decade, offering edible ink printers, edible ink, icing sheets, electronic and manual die cutters, and DECOgel™ to retail bakeries, home bakers and cake decorators.
