ZBridge opens up modern-day access to iSeries-based billing system for third-party external apps and internal apps.

Unitymedia KabelBW has deployed ZBridge© (part of the 360Connect family) to provide the business with a modern architected platform for external web service-based API enablement of their NetCracker-supplied iSeries resident billing system.

Zentive, an innovative software company in the cable and satellite Pay TV space, has designed ZBridge to ensure immediate support and maintainability in what is increasingly becoming 24x7 access to key systems for customer facing applications – with ecommerce and multi-screen being two of the most important. The platform provides for high throughput transaction management with resilience being key to its use in a demanding business environment.

ZBridge works in conjunction with other 360 family of products provided by Zentive and is a strong endorsement of the leading-edge approach to app development that the company adopts. Matthias Breuer, Unitymedia KabelBW’s VP IT Core Development, commented, “My department had outgrown its previous legacy API enablement app and looked to Zentive to design and build a simplified and modern enhanced equivalent. We now have a platform for the future that guarantees my business will continue to be well-served”.
