Virginia Beach Personal Injury Lawyer Helps Build Bike for Boys & Girls Club
Virginia Beach, Virginia (PRWEB) May 29, 2014 -- The Virginia Beach personal injury law firm of Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan took time to support a great organization - the Boys & Girls Club. An attorney with the firm attended a "Build a Bike" event where bicycles were built for children who didn't have a bike, or had a bicycle stolen.
Before helping build the bicycles, attorneys got to spend some time with the kids and help them paint bicycle helmets. The attorneys also taught the kids important safety precautions that all bike riders must follow when traveling on the roads.
"It was a wonderful event. Many of these kids have always wanted a bike, but simply couldn't afford to get one," said Patrick Austin, an attorney with Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan. "I am so proud I could help give a child the joy of simply riding a bicycle."
The event was sponsored by InjuryBoard, a non-profit organization comprised of trial lawyers focused on expanding awareness on important health and safety issues.
After the bicycles were built and helmets painted, the attorneys enjoyed a game of kickball with the kids.
The Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan firm is proud to be affiliated with both InjuryBoard and the Boys & Girls Club.
