Silicon Valley Leaders Guy Kawasaki, Melissa Barnes, Richelle Parham Join Arianna Huffington in a Future Look at the Social Web During the 10th Annual BlogHer Conference
Belmont, CA (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- BlogHer, Inc., creator of the largest conference for bloggers in the nation, today announced three new keynote speakers at BlogHer ‘14, which will be held in Silicon Valley this July 24-26.
The anchor Saturday morning conference keynote will take on the future, asking these powerful leaders to share their insights on what’s next for digital business models and the culture that drives them.
Guy Kawasaki, Chief Evangelist at Canva, will help moderate a morning of interviews with previously announced keynote speaker Arianna Huffington, Editor In Chief of the Huffington Post, as well as two Silicon Valley stars: Melissa Barnes, Head of Global Brands at Twitter, and Richelle Parham, Chief Marketing Officer at eBay North America. Says Richelle, “I'm honored to be a part of BlogHer ’14 and celebrate the strong women who are successfully harnessing the power of social media. The world is changing, and technology is enabling brands to relate to people on a deeper level. eBay is an inherently social company and strives to create inspiring experiences through rich content – helping sellers of all sizes form deeper and more meaningful relationships with their customers.”
Coming back to BlogHer after a galvanizing keynote appearance last year, Guy Kawasaki hits the stage having recently announced his new position as chief evangelist of Canva, an online graphic design tool. His latest book, The Art of Social Media launches this summer.
Prior to joining Twitter, Melissa Barnes had a long career helping major consumer brands create social and digital strategies. She now works with global C-level executives and their teams to drive measurable business results with innovative platform-appropriate Twitter activations. At BlogHer, Barnes will take insights on scaling reach and results that she typically gleans from her work with Fortune 500 brands and apply them to BlogHer’s attendee base of influential Twitter users.
“BlogHer ’14 will host thousands of bloggers who are creative entrepreneurs and thought leaders in this rapidly changing space,” said Elisa Camahort Page, BlogHer Co-founder and COO. “We often focus on how blogging has democratized the media. This year, BlogHer’s Saturday morning programming will explore how social tools are also democratizing business models, communications, and branding. The wisdom shared at this keynote will help redefine success paths for the individual influencer.”
Barnes, Kawasaki, and Parham join previously announced keynote speakers Arianna Huffington, Kerry Washington, Jenny Lawson, and Tig Notaro.
