Maple Hill Golf Brings FootGolf to West Michigan
Grandville, MI (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- Maple Hill Golf will be the first golf course to introduce West Michigan to FootGolf. This revolutionary hybrid sport merges both soccer and golf on a golf course. The first organized tournament took place In the Netherlands in 2009 and the craze quickly made its way to the shores of America in 2011.
FootGolf at Maple Hill Golf, kicks-off Monday, June 16th 2014. Greens fees are only $5 for 9 holes, and $10 for unlimited play or 27 holes. All ages and abilities are encouraged to come have fun with their friends and families.
“The interest that I’m already getting from the soccer community is unbelievable,” said Maple Hill Golf Owner Bob Kitchen. “We are excited to give those who are fanatic about soccer an opportunity to enjoy the world’s most popular sport in the comfort of a beautiful golf course.”
The game is played in groups of 3 with a soccer ball on as many as 27 shortened holes. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf. You will find there aren’t hundreds of dollars to spend on clubs and equipment. The only piece of equipment participants are required to bring is a soccer ball of their choosing.
Reservations are mandatory for this introductory event. Call the pro shop (616) 538-0290, as space is limited and guaranteed to fill quickly. For more information on Maple Hill Golf and FootGolf, please visit http://www.maplehillgc.com.
