US DoT to Reveal their Plans for Future Advanced Safety Architecture at Advanced Auto Safety USA 2014
(PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- At Advanced Auto Safety USA the US DOT will lead a session on engineering methods. It has come at a time where strong successes in test-beds have spurred huge activity and investment into V2V technologies. With this tech set to be responsible for saving lives and preventing collisions on the roads, certainty in testing and the accuracy of results produced is crucial. The US DoT expressed their confidence in the technologies back in February with NHTSA providing a green light for a V2V mandate, and expanding the Ann Arbor project. As they lift the lid on what gave them the confidence to do so on stage at the conference, the industry will no doubt be impressed by the scale, accuracy and methodical approach to their testing projects.

An insight into the workings of a government striving for safety on the roads
Meredith Evans, Project Director at Telematics Update commented, “The US Dot is the core of V2V development in America. Their testing efforts and projects will be the mould that defines how these systems will work, and how they will be deployed.
Ensuring the technologies are completely capable of performing to high standards is integral to advanced safety success, and reducing fatalities on the road to an all-time low. These projects really are a matter of life and death, and it will be fascinating to see how the technology has performed to such high demands. The conference is a unique opportunity to get a crucial insight into the work that they have been doing.”
Advanced Automotive Safety USA 2014 (July 8-9, 2014, Novi, Michigan) conference will unite the intelligent transport industry to discuss these integral topics, as well as many others for which the industry is seeking fresh answers, solutions and explanation; including: The Future Of Intelligent Transport Systems.
• Human vs. Machine - The Great Debate on Autonomous Vehicles!
• Optimizing Data Processing
• Alternate Devices for Increased Market Penetration
• Creating Value For Consumers
The event will gather industry fore-runners from ITS America, Nissan, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Toyota, Denso, Center for Automotive Research, CVTA, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, UMTRI, AASHTO and many more.
150+ executives (OEMs, government, tier 1 and supplier executives) are set to attend the conference and define the next steps toward the dawn of a new era of intelligent transportation.
