Adventist Health System, which Includes Florida Hospital Tampa, is a Recipient of the 2014 Gallup Great Workplace Award
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- Adventist Health System’s employees, which includes 2,500 employees at Florida Hospital Tampa are being recognized by Gallup as one of the best-performing, most productive and engaged workforces in the world. This is the fourth year in a row that Adventist Health System, and all of the hospital campuses including Florida Hospital Tampa has received the Gallup Great Workplace Award. The Gallup Great Workplace Award is based on rigorous workplace research. A panel of experts assesses each applicant based on their 2013 employee engagement results and their application portfolio. Applicant’s results are compared across a workplace research database composed of millions of work team in more than 100 countries. AHS is a faith-based health care organization headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Nearly 70,000 employees represent AHS, a national leader in quality, safety and patient satisfaction. This year, AHS is one of 36 organizations chosen to receive the award.

The new ED is designed to create a better patient experience by improving patient flow and reducing emergency room wait times. Beyond the expansion of The Women’s Health Pavilion and the new Emergency Department, Florida Hospital Tampa has been making improvements to the exterior and interior of the main hospital. The construction projects are expected to add a total of 54,000 square feet to the footprint of Florida Hospital Tampa. The project is estimated to be a $53-million dollar capital investment and has created approximately 275 full and part-time positions. This year’s Gallup Great Workplace award was presented at Gallup’s main campus in Omaha, Nebraska May 13-15. During the three day summit, Great Workplace Award winners, including Adventist Health System, presented best practices they applied to their workplace and the improved business results they achieved through building an engaged workforce.
