That album has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 500,000 copies, but it wasn’t until their third release, Damn the Torpedos, did the band truly find great success. The album reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 charts and has been certified platinum by the RIAA twice for selling more than two million copies. They also released several other platinum certified albums including Hard Promise, and Let Me Up (I’ve Had Enough).
The most popular album in their history together was their 1993 release, Greatest Hits. The album was certified diamond by the RIAA for selling more than 10 million copies. As a solo performer, Petty found great success with Full Moon Fever, Wildflowers and Highway Companion, with the former being his biggest release to date. The album sold more than five million copies in the United States and has also been certified platinum in Canada six times.
Among the songs that fans will hope to hear the legendary group perform include “Don’t Do Me Like That,” “You Got Lucky,” “Jammin’ Me,” “Refugee,” “I Won’t Back Down,” “Free Fallin’,” “Learning to Fly,” “Out in the Cold,” “You Don’t Know How it Feels,” “You Wreck Me,” and “Out in the Cold.” These songs are some of their biggest hits and have been a large factor in why they have sold more than 80 million records worldwide.
