The film is about five sisters who return to their home in Sicily to divide up the family art and furniture, following which all hell breaks loose! The family matriarch tries to draw straws for the “divisione” of the family things while the sisters bicker and the family heads toward an implosion. Skeletons fly out of the closet, and things go from bad to worse as the sisters make a series of bad decisions, leading to the ultimate tumultous conclusion in which the fate of the family hangs in the balance.
