NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 28, 2014

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is co-sponsoring the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) 21st National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions. The conference takes place Thursday, May 29 through May 30, 2014 at the New York Marriott East Side in New York. In addition, two of the firm’s Global Labor & Employment practice co-chairs, Jonathan L. Sulds and David Long-Daniels, will speak at this distinguished yearly forum that will focus on expert strategies for leading in-house and outside counsel on managing and defending against new and innovative claims, as well as preparing for emerging regulations and evolving enforcement policies.

According to ACI, this advanced forum has been designed to bring together the nation’s leading in-house experts and outside counsel to engage in a two-day seminar geared towards developing skills and strategies needed to keep pace with this rapidly changing area of law, manage and defend against new and innovative claims, and prepare for emerging regulations and evolving enforcement priorities.

Sulds, a co-chair of the firm’s Global Labor & Employment practice, will focus his panel on federal and state initiatives, audits, litigation, and settlements, including preparing for and responding to new priorities, enhanced enforcement efforts, aggressive investigations by the U.S. DOL and State Equivalents, and fighting a wage and hour issue on two fronts (government investigation and private class action). He has been representing leading employers since 1974 in virtually every aspect of their engagement, protection, management and reward of workforce resources. His experience includes wage and hour matters, collective bargaining and traditional labor relations, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigation, discrimination complaints, restrictive covenant, duty of loyalty and trade secret litigation.

Long-Daniels, also a co-chair of the firm’s Global Labor & Employment practice and chair of the Atlanta Labor & Employment practice, will focus his panel on defending and managing the latest off-the-clock claims involving the continuous work day, including the use of smartphones/mobile devices outside of scheduled hours, working remotely, and alternative working arrangements. His experience includes representing clients in claims under the Fair Labor Standard Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans With Disabilities Act, civil rights cases, and other federal and state labor and employment matters.
