Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 30, 2014

After a 14 year run with Fox Sports Radio, The Tailgate Tour announced it is moving on to a new relationship with Yahoo! Sports Radio. Celebrating its 15 year anniversary, The Tailgate Tour continues to be the nation’s longest running and largest college football fan experience at events and online supported by some of the largest brands in the country. As the official radio network of the Tailgate Tour, Yahoo! Sports Radio will have complete access to tours assets as well as a powerful joint promotional platform and sales channel.

The Tailgate Tour will kick off Labor Day weekend at the start of college football season and be on the road for 14 straight weeks reaching a powerful schedule and fans in the SEC, BIG 10, ACC and BIG 12. The tour had an overall reach of over 1.5 million consumers at events and total reach across assets exceeding 13 million in 2013. Yahoo Sports Radio will be onsite as well as incorporated into the tours sports skills challenges.

“We are very excited to be working with Yahoo! Sports Radio, says Jay Freedman, Managing Partner of NFuse 360 Marketing. “Many radio stations on game day Saturday try to own the position that they are the “go-to home” for sports, and that they are there with the fans…when they are not. The Tailgate Tour will put Yahoo Sports Radio into the heartbeat of the largest games in the country.” Yahoo Sports Radio joins long time partners Meredith Communications’ “EveryDay with Rachael Ray”, SiriusXM and Tailgater Monthly.

“This is a great step for us,” said David Gow, CEO of Gow Broadcasting, which owns and operates Yahoo! Sports Radio, in partnership with Yahoo! Sports. “Jay and his team are best in the field, and we are delighted to be on site with them at some of the biggest games of the season.”

The Tailgate Tour is a 14-week traveling mobile tour that visits the largest college football match ups and significant rivalries in the nation with focus on providing fans an exciting pre-game interactive experience. Over the last 15 years, the tour has reached over 25 million fans at events and many more across its media partners and social channels.

Complete details on all dates and activities related to the tour are being showcased at http://www.tailgatetour.com and on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/thetailgatetour). Local partners on The Tailgate Tour include a long list of local radio stations, online and newspapers.
