Nucano Announces World’s First Smart Door Chime and Home Intelligence Hub
Logan, Utah (PRWEB) May 30, 2014 -- Nucano LLC launches a Kickstarter Campaign on May 29, 2014, for Nucano Smart Door Chime—the world’s first smart door chime that doubles as a home intelligence hub. Instead of boring network gear that hides in the closet, Nucano has reimagined how home intelligence should look and sound.
“At Nucano, we love rethinking old concepts,” said Matt Cupal, co-founder of Nucano. “In looking at the home automation market, we felt that ease-of-use and stand-out design were missing. Fusing a smart door chime into a home intelligence hub gave us the opportunity to craft something truly unique.”
The Nucano Smart Door Chime is a hub that lets people add intelligence to everyday things in their homes. It can connect to and control over 1,000 existing compatible devices like door locks, thermostats, alerts, and cameras. It posts mobile alerts and can send video when anyone rings the bell.
It installs and functions like a traditional door chime, but goes far beyond what anyone thought a door chime could be. The door chime provides inside and outside temperature readings and lets users change the chime tune with any music stored on their mobile phone. More importantly, the door chime can serve as an alarm for things happening in the home—like sounding an alarm if a window is broken.
The home intelligence capability is built in partnership with InControl LLC who has been providing software-based home automation solutions for the past five years.
