Harkcon, Inc. completes Health Services Manpower Requirements Analysis (MRA) for the USCG Fredericksburg, VA Company wins significant contract vehicle to provide Federal Government with key consulting services.

Harkcon, Inc. recently completed a Clinical Health Services Personnel Manpower Requirements Analysis (MRA) for the United States Coast Guard (USCG), involving approximately 900 managers, supervisors, and technicians. The analysis is being used to help inform an ongoing Strategic Needs Assessment (SNA) chartered by the Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (DCMS) and being conducted by the Health Services Support Workforce Manpower Training Analysis Project Working Group. It is providing important human capital information that is helping the group make informed decisions regarding resource management, risk management, and workforce planning and management.

“We are proud to have worked with the Coast Guard on the Clinical Health Services Personnel MRA,” said Kevin Harkins, CEO of Harkcon. “We provided our Coast Guard client with critical information regarding the current operation and staffing of Coast Guard clinics, as well as data that will shape the future development of clinic personnel.”

An MRA is a structured, scientific methodology used to determine the necessary number and skill mix of positions required to accomplish a prescribed amount of work to a prescribed standard. The MRA process collects, measures, analyzes, and reports human capital data. The result identifies the optimum workforce size, competencies and experience necessary to perform the work associated with an organization’s requirements and goals.
