For the fifth straight year, Douglas Dynamics, Inc., the North American leader in the design, manufacture and sale of snow and ice control equipment for light trucks, was named one of the Top Workplaces in Southeastern Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The annual Top Workplaces survey is based solely on responses provided by employees of participating companies. The survey asks employees to evaluate their employers on 22 different criteria, including the effectiveness of management, the direction of the company, openness to new ideas, employee engagement, salary and benefits, and training support.

“We firmly believe that our employees’ job satisfaction directly affects the quality of our products and our success as a company," said Linda Evans, Vice President of Human Resources. "We constantly strive to provide our employees with a rewarding, challenging and enjoyable workplace."

The survey divides companies into small, medium and large categories, and ranks each company against other companies within its category. Douglas Dynamics, which employs 245 people in the Milwaukee area, is considered a mid-sized organization. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s report, companies that make the Top Workplaces list are not only good places to work, but they are also more likely to be more successful than companies that do not make the cut.
