Mike Agugliaro of Gold Medal Service honored with RuleBreaker Award

I am honored to be named a RuleBreaker, one of the most innovative entrepreneurs in the U.S., for thinking outside the box

East Brunswick, N.J. (PRWEB) June 03, 2014

Mike Agugliaro, co-founder of Gold Medal Service, an award-winning heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, drain cleaning, and waterproofing service company in New Jersey, has been named one of 15 winners in the 2014 RuleBreaker awards. This unconventional awards program, sponsored by Nextiva, Skype, and Constant Contact, celebrates entrepreneurs who ignore conventional wisdom, take the path less traveled and break all the rules in their pursuit of success.

Agugliaro and Gold Medal Service will be honored at an awards ceremony Tuesday, June 10, at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City. One grand-prize winner will also be chosen from among the category winners at that time.

Gold Medal Service was a finalist in the Service Provider, over $5M in Sales category. Over the last decade, Agugliaro has grown the company from less than a million dollars per year, to more than $23 million per year. And it is still growing – the company has a painted vision outlining how it will reach $40 million per year by 2020. In 2013, Agugliaro founded ServiceKey to train other service business owners to achieve the same kind of results he’s experienced.

“I am honored to be named a RuleBreaker, one of the most innovative entrepreneurs in the U.S., for thinking outside the box and doing things differently from other companies to accomplish big goals,” said Agugliaro. “We have worked really hard and made use of some uncommon marketing and sales techniques to achieve our goals. I’m proud of my team and I know Gold Medal Service wouldn’t be where it is today without them.”

“We’re proud to honor entrepreneurs who have succeeded by doing it their way,” said Rieva Lesonsky, CEO of GrowBiz Media and a co-host of the RuleBreaker Awards.

“Choosing the finalists was a difficult decision,” said co-host Mike Michalowicz, author of The Pumpkin Plan. “It was inspiring to discover so many entrepreneurs revolutionizing their industries.”
