Humphrey presented to the bar association’s Family Law section. The article, titled “Criminal law for family lawyers” was featured on page 28 of the May 2014 issue of Res Ipsa Loquitur. Attorney Humphrey also discussed a number of other relevant criminal law issues. These included a domestic violence victim’s right not to cooperate with officers, the importance for spouses to change their electronic devices’ passwords when they are dealing with marital issues, and the use of spouse phone calls for obtaining incriminating statements from individuals accused of domestic violence or child abuse.
