Founded by W. Kevin Thomas, M.D. and Stephen B. Levine, M.D., Thomas Eye Group has served the metro Atlanta community since 1974. The company began as a general ophthalmology practice in Sandy Springs with Dr. Kevin Thomas seeing adult patients and Dr. Stephen Levine, a pediatric ophthalmologist, treating pediatric patients.

“When I first went into practice, I was scared to death that I would have no patients to see,” said founder, Dr. Kevin Thomas, who retired in 2013. “My wife, Carol, tried to console me by telling me that all I had to do was treat everyone the way I would like to be treated, and to be fair and nice to everyone. I tried my best to accomplish those goals, and my wife must have been right, since the practice has grown to one of the largest ophthalmology practices in the country.”
