Blue Jay Wireless Hires Former USAC Program Manager Lauren Moxley as Regulatory and Public Relations Manager
(PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Dallas based Blue Jay Wireless has hired Lifeline regulatory expert Lauren Moxley to the key position of Regulatory and Public Relations Manager.
The addition of Moxley to the management team reflects Blue Jay’s ongoing commitment to building a strong industry leading team of individuals with a combined knowledgebase that is unmatched on regulatory and compliance aspects of the Lifeline program.
“The addition of Lauren to our team is such an important coup for Blue Jay on many different levels,” states David Wareikis, Blue Jay President and CEO. “She brings a unique and important insight from the regulatory level of our industry. Her intimate understanding of the rules, regulations and policy reforms is truly an invaluable asset.”
Lauren Moxley comes to Blue Jay Wireless directly from the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), the not-for-profit corporation designated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as the administrator of universal service. As a former Program Manager of Lifeline at USAC, Lauren is uniquely qualified for her position at Blue Jay. While at the USAC, Lauren worked primarily on compliance issues, reviewed ETC designation orders, provided publicly available reports, and led the 2013 USAC election and recertification process, including the compilation and reporting of data submitted on FCC Form 555. Prior to USAC, Lauren worked under the Senior Vice President of Policy and Strategy at One Economy Corporation, a global non-profit organization that aims to leverage the power of technology to connect underserved communities to vital information to better improve their lives. In this role, Lauren completed extensive research on the Universal Service Fund (USF) and drafted policy recommendations that contributed to the push for a National Lifeline Accountability Database and expansion of broadband into the Lifeline Program. Lauren attained her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Blue Jay Wireless remains vigilant to enforcing the strict rules set forth by the FCC in determining qualified consumers for the Lifeline Program across the country. The addition of Lauren Moxley to the Blue Jay team reflects Blue Jay’s clear intent to continue setting the bar for excellence in the industry.
Available in every state, territory, commonwealth, and on Tribal lands, the Lifeline program is available to eligible low-income consumers, and allows for only one Lifeline phone per household. Eligibility criteria may vary by state.
