4Sitters.com Launches New Website for Parents and Caregivers of Special Needs Children
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 03, 2014 -- 4Sitters.com, a job board for parents and caregivers of special needs children, recently launched its new website (http://www.4sitters.com). The website was designed and developed by Intechnic (http://www.intechnic.com) – one of Chicago’s leading web agencies.
Typically, babysitting websites focus on occasional and onetime babysitting for a parents’ night out. Parents with special needs children are merely an afterthought on these websites, leaving those parents to feel frustrated and hopeless at the lack of options. 4sitters.com now fulfills that need for specially qualified caregivers. There is finally a website that specifically focuses on each child’s needs.
Parents create a profile that completely describes their required qualifications in a sitter; mentally, behaviorally, and/or academically. Parents receive a notification when a caregiver with their specified skill set posts a profile. They are also able to track the status of invitations and responses through a secure internal messaging system.
Caregivers can create a profile of their own with details including qualifications, certifications, and availability. Caregivers can also browse the website to view parents’ profiles and receive notifications when parents post a job with their specified qualifications.
Owners, Sarah and Wayne Schlicht, feel that helping parents of children with special needs is more than just a business, it is personal. With a special needs child of their own, they know the stresses of finding a qualified caregiver all too well. “The website's goal is to help other special needs parents by reducing the stress and difficulty of finding a qualified caregiver,” says Sarah Schlicht.
Since this process is usually stressful, the goal of the new website was not only to create an online experience that would make it easy for parents of special needs children to find a qualified caregiver. “We focused on ease of use and created a customer-centric experience by making the site mobile-friendly, using intuitive designs, and applying the psychology of color” said Intechnic Creative Project Manager Safa Khudeira.
