The next episode of “Extreme Weight Loss” Season Four focuses on a mother and son from Charlotte, NC struggling to establish new routines and rituals to replace unhealthy patterns. The show features a unique, non-competitive approach to weight loss transformations and will air Tuesday, June 3 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network.

Over the past 21 years, Kathie and Josh have slowly eaten their way into obesity as a way of dealing with the pain stemming from the absence of Kathie’s husband – Josh’s father – who abandoned the family when Josh was only nine months old.

Holly Wyatt, MD, medical director for “Extreme Weight Loss” and University of Colorado’s Anschutz Health and Wellness Center (AHWC), is seen each week on the show helping participants safely lose up to half of their body weight. New this season, participants spend the first 90 days of their weight loss journey at the AHWC in Aurora, CO.

AHWC offers some of the country’s most advanced research and science-based expertise, focusing on a comprehensive weight loss and weight management approach, including fitness, nutrition and wellness services. Learn more at http://www.anschutzwellness.com.

Extreme Weight Loss is produced for ABC by Eyeworks USA. The series is executive-produced by JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson, Matt Assmus and Brant Pinvidic.
