New Sports Collectibles Case Breaking Pavilion and Center Stage to Debut

The 35th Annual National Sports Collectors Convention will be hosted by The City of Cleveland at the International Exposition Center, July 30th – August 3rd. Open to the public, the five (5) day family-oriented event is the largest sports and entertainment collectibles show in the world.

It’s a place where sports/entertainment collectors, fans and dealers can meet to buy, trade and discuss collecting memorabilia such as trading cards, vintage game-used equipment and other sports- and entertainment-related collectibles, as well as meet high profile athletes and get autographs.

The 35th National Sports Collectors Convention is pleased to announce that the 2014 event will welcome the inaugural Sports Collectibles Case Break Pavilion & Center Stage. The attraction will feature 12,000 square feet of case breaks, the newest, sweeping phenomenon among card collectors worldwide. David Gelfman from will manage the advanced planning and day-to-day operations of the Case Break Pavilion.

Not only is this a once-in-a-lifetime experience for collectors and fans, but businesses in the City of Cleveland—such as retailers, downtown restaurants, hotels, and rent-a-car companies—will benefit financially from the event. Here’s a brief snapshot of what hosting this event will mean for Cleveland:

1. Approximately 45,000 expected to attend the five-day event, multiple nights;
2. Over 750 collectible exhibitor booths and 100 corporate booths on-site;
3. Translates into approximately 3,000 exhibitor personnel for 6 – 7 nights;
4. Collectively expected to reserve over 4,500 room nights per night;
5. Also means an additional 25,000-plus restaurant customers;
6. New Case Break Pavilion & Center Stage will draw local and national media attention;
7. Finally, 90-plus high profile athletes will also generate local and national media attention.

Admission & Autograph Tickets: Public admission tickets can be purchased on-line at and on-site at the I-X Convention Center throughout the event. Starting June 6th athlete autograph tickets can be purchased on-line at and will also be available to purchase on-site throughout the week at the Cleveland International Exposition Center.
