Faulkner University Launches New “Millennial Friendly” Website

Faulkner University announces the launch of a redesigned website, serving all constituents but focused on Millennials. Chicago marketing firm, C. Grant & Company, designed and developed the responsive site which works as well on mobile phones as tablets or desktops.

Dr. Billy D. Hilyer, President of Faulkner University in Montgomery, announces the launch of a redesigned website for the University. The new site appeals across multiple constituent groups, with a focus on reaching Millennials.

“Our new website will better communicate the scope of excellent educational opportunities available at Faulkner, from traditional undergraduate degrees through our Law School and advanced degree programs,” said Hilyer. “And with a number of locations in the mid-South, we needed a web solution that was easy for visitors to quickly navigate. We think our site is an innovative way to make that happen.”

C. Grant & Company (CGC), a Chicago area marketing and research firm that specializes in reaching Millennials and serving Christian Higher Education, designed the site. Using a “mobile-first” strategy, the site is fully responsive and has enhanced user functionality in critical areas identified through extensive research. The home page “portal” is centered on user personas and creates an intuitive path to guide visitors to relevant content.

“Colleges and universities are required to simplify their websites to enhance the mobile and tablet experience even as they become more expansive in the degrees they offer and the locations they serve,” said Chris Grant of CGC. “It’s a real challenge, but after a year of research, development, and design in partnership with Faulkner, they have an innovative site that accomplishes those goals.”

Faulkner’s mobile website was replaced by the new site, reducing both cost and complexity of updating multiple sites. The new content management system also reduces maintenance costs while increasing the speed and flexibility for making site changes across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms. This ensures the University will be able to respond as user needs change over time.
