Born John Arvantis, Akillezz chose his performance name to honor his Greek heritage. He has been making music produced by Jayd Daniels and Block Boyz Entertainment since he was 16.

Akillezz shares, “Since my formative stages, I have always had a great affinity for language. During my first year of elementary school, amid a multiple choice exam, my seven-year-old self turned over the exam and wrote a poem. Later that evening, our phone rang and my teacher described to my parents the unusual phenomena that her student should write a poem infused with untaught metaphor, alliteration, and poetic devices. Within that same year, after being exposed to an Eminem record on the radio, I knew what I would venture to become: a recording artist.”

"Akillezz is an artist who seeks to purge himself of his negative experiences on his own records; he is, in a sense, unloading his innermost ideas in a way that speaks directly to his listeners. Perhaps part of what allows him to do this so effectively is the disarming approach in his lyrics: he never makes any falsified claims but instead chooses to discuss the emotional pits he climbs in and out of. With that said, Akillezz’ music, like himself, is rather complex and multi-faceted – you never know which side of him you’re going to get."

Akillezz' first album, Transgressionzz, will be released later this year with much anticipation.
