CMS Names iPatientCare a Qualified PQRS Registry for 2014
Woodbridge, NJ, (PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- iPatientCare, Inc., a pioneer in mHealth and cloud based ambulatory EHR, Integrated Practice Management and Patient Portal Solutions, announced today that it has been selected as a Qualified Physician Quality Reporting System(PQRS) by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for 2014. As a qualified PQRS Registry, iPatientCare will help eligible providers to submit data based on PQRS quality measures directly to CMS.
PQRS is a voluntary quality reporting program established by CMS in which physicians collect and report data related to performance measures. Although participation in PQRS is currently voluntary, CMS will apply a payment adjustment (penalty) of 2% in 2016, to Eligible Professionals who do not satisfactorily report data on quality measures for covered professional services. Submission of quality data is tied to future pay-for-performance outcomes through the Value-Based Payment Modifier program which allocates a payment differential to Eligible Professionals under the Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule based upon the quality of care furnished. iPatientCare’s PQRS Registry is an easy- to- use solution for seamlessly reporting quality data through the iPatientCare EHR.
“We are excited that iPatientCare has been selected by CMS as a qualified Registry for 2014. We've always been aggressive in helping our clients to collect, analyze and report data pertaining to the quality of care and are pleased to provide them the option of Registry based PQRS reporting with iPatientCare EHR”, said Arnaz Bharucha, Senior Technology Officer, iPatientCare.

We continue to enhance, upgrade and augment our solutions to meet the needs of the healthcare community, while increasing the quality of care and patient safety,” said Kedar Mehta, Chief Technology Officer, iPatientCare. He further added, “iPatientCare PQRS Registry enables physician practices to increase revenues while improving patient care. Healthcare providers will have the opportunity to use the data gathered as part of PQRS .The measures selected are based on clinical guidelines and provide evidence-based guidelines for improvements in care.”
