Hanley Wood Volunteers Join Forces with AEC Cares and Reed Construction Data for Blitz Build to Renovate Daycare and Early Learning Centers on Chicago’s South Side
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) June 03, 2014 -- Hanley Wood, the premier information, media, event and strategic marketing services company serving the residential, commercial design and construction industries, has announced its continued support for the fourth annual “Blitz Build,” which brings design and construction professionals together for a special project in a deserving community each year. This year’s project, a collaboration between Hanley Wood, AEC Cares and Reed Construction Data, takes place on June 25, on the eve of the American Institute of Architects 2014 National Convention in Chicago. Attendees and exhibitors are invited to participate in this rewarding volunteer experience.
“Blitz Build” will tackle Metropolitan Family Services’ newest learning and wellness center, a former school building on Chicago’s South Side. The center offers early learning programs for children who are six weeks to five years of age, giving them a safe place to stay during the day while building their confidence, their language and social skills, and their interest in learning. The goal for the project is to transform the dull, dated building into a bright, cheerful and fun place that helps Metropolitan inspire the children to achieve.
“It is an honor to be part of this annual effort with AEC Cares and Reed Construction Data,” said Peter Goldstone, CEO of Hanley Wood. “Our employee volunteers eagerly await the opportunity to make a difference in Chicago’s South Side.”
