MTS Healthcare, a full-service healthcare IT service provider, announces the release of the The Shams Group (TSG) Patient Kiosk for NextGen. This kiosk solution is designed to speed up patient intake, enhance the customer experience, and improve business operations for users. MTS Healthcare partnered with TSG to provide full integration of the iPad Patient Kiosk solution with NextGen Ambulatory EHR.

The TSG Patient Kiosk offers patients self-service convenience in their provider’s office. The iPad kiosk is a freestanding, interactive experience that streamlines the registration process. Providers will also see a reduction in the overall cost of registration. The enhanced process allows for an increase in patient volume utilizing the same number of staff.

“The kiosk will allow practices to collect co-pay and patient balances prior to seeing the provider which has a major impact on cash flow,” said James Deck, co-founder and CEO of MTS Healthcare. “Allowing patients to enter their own clinical histories helps to automate achieving meaningful use.”

Whether checking-in, registering as a new patient, or scheduling an appointment, patients will encounter an easy-to-use system that can drastically reduce wait times. Forms with signatures and driver's license images or other documents are easily captured by the kiosk to complete a patient’s profile. The system also allows providers to track the number of registered patients waiting for service, ensure the accuracy of patient information, and move towards more effective solutions for their business.
