Lansdowne Resort Announces ‘Summer Selfie’ Hotel Vacation Contest in Leesburg, VA
Leesburg, VA (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- Lansdowne Resort, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, announced their “Summer Selfie” campaign today as visitors and hotel guests will be eligible to win more than $15,000 in prizes and summer vacation packages by simply sharing their selfie with the AAA Four Diamond luxury hotel in Leesburg, VA. Weekly winners will be eligible for the grand prize which includes two-night stays at Lansdowne Resort and their sister property Wild Dunes Resort, by Destination Hotels & Resorts in Charleston, SC, and other prizes. The Northern Virginia hotel’s Summer Selfie contest starts on June 10.

To enter the Summer Selfie contest, go to LansdowneSelfie.com and upload a photo. A selfie taken at the resort near Washington, DC is not required, but special consideration will be made for images submitted from Lansdowne. Weekly winners will be determined every Sunday from June 15 through August 24. The grand prize winner will be announced on September 1, 2014. Aside from a pair of two-night stays at Lansdowne Resort and Wild Dunes Resort, the grand prize for this summer promotion includes dinner for two at the Crooked Billet restaurant, two 50-minute spa treatments at Spa Minérale, a round of golf for two at The Golf Club at Lansdowne, a bottle of Virginia wine at dinner and a special in-room amenity. The weekly prizes will include vacation packages for overnight stays at Lansdowne Resort, and other prizes.
The Lansdowne Summer Selfie promotion will have an interesting twist during the annual Lansdowne Celebrates America event on Saturday, July 5. During intermission of a concert with Washington, DC area band Gonzo’s Nose, everyone is invited to participate in a Guinness World Record attempt for the “Largest Simultaneous Group Selfie.” The record currently stands at 1,000 people. Donations will be accepted from everyone wishing to participate in the world record attempt with all of the proceeds benefitting the Fisher House Foundation. The Washington, DC-based organization is known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.
The Gonzo’s Nose concert is scheduled for 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display. The concert and fireworks in Leesburg are free and open to the public.
