C.M. Smith Agency, providing a broad range of employee benefits, insurance and retirement services to employers, responded to a growing client demand in Employee Health Management by adding a Health Coaching Program to their employer offerings.
“The Health Coaching Program complements a Population Health Management strategy by getting employees engaged in their healthcare and understanding ways they can effectively reduce their lifestyle risk factors,” said John O’Connell, President of C.M. Smith Agency.
“We are committed to the health and wellness of our employees, and we have found important value in this initiative with C. M. Smith,” stated Christopher Dadlez, President and CEO of Saint Francis Care. “The goal of our ‘BestCare for Our Health’ wellness program is to support all of our benefits-covered employees seeking to make positive changes in their health and well-being and take their health goals to the next level.”
The C.M. Smith Health Coaches, with offices located on campus, met with approximately 60% of benefits-covered employees during the first 6 months of the program. The program includes a Tobacco Cessation Program, Pre-Diabetes Prevention outreach, and a Walking club alongside monthly CoachesCare events. Continued expansion of the Coaching program occurs this summer with the advent of the Gaps in Preventive Care initiative.
C.M. Smith Agency, an established leader in Connecticut’s insurance marketplace, focusing on Employee Benefits, Insurance and Retirement Services, continues to provide the employer resources that are necessary to compete in the ever-changing healthcare marketplace.
