World 11’s Wins Mygooi Cricket Tournament in Chennai

World 11’s won the three-day Flood Light Cricket Tournament held at the Gopalapuram Government Play Ground in Chennai. The tournament, held May 30 to June 1, was sponsored by Mygooi, the cloud-based mobile technology brand based in Chennai and Des Moines, Iowa, USA.

Legislative Assembly member B. Valarmathi, minister for Social Welfare and Nutritious Noon Meal Programme for the state of Tamil Nadu, presented trophies to the winning teams.

Competitors included 12 corporate and many professional teams. Ashok Indrajith, vice president marketing India for Mygooi, said, “It was the biggest hit in the city in a long time. It was all over the city. People loved it. It was gooi.”

The winning team won 50,000 rupees ($845). Second was Mano Cricket Club with Vicki Cricket Club third. Named best bowler was Karthik of World 11’s and best batsman was Rockshan of Mano.

All 32 teams registered received jerseys, provided by Mygooi in different color combinations.
