Artist Nikki Smith to Host an Art Show in Bryan, Texas
Bryan, TX (PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- Some say that a picture is worth a 1,000 words, and thanks to an upcoming art show in Bryan, Texas, those in attendance will be treated to numerous works of art that speak volumes to the heart, mind and soul.
The Frame Gallery will present: The Many Muses of Nikki Smith Art Show at 6 pm June 6 at the 216 N. Bryan Ave., Bryan, Texas.
Attendees will be able to meet Smith, a Bryan, Texas native, and enjoy live music, art and conversation all evening.
“My artwork is inspired by music, color and the human body,” Smith said, before adding, “I believe that music has such an incredible power to move us, to change our state of mind.”
Smith went on to point out that her artwork seeks to capture the transformative power of music through color and motion, often combining musical instruments and the female form to tell a story.
“As my style continues to evolve, I am excited to see where this artistic journey will take me,” Smith said.
In fact, from Euterpe (the muse of song), to Terpsichore (the muse of dance) to Urania (the muse of science), Smith’s artwork takes inspiration from her life and passions.
“I invite everyone to join us for the opening reception on First Friday at the Frame Gallery in downtown Bryan, Texas,” Smith said. “Enjoy live music and great conversation, and of course, fabulous art.”
