Michael Aumock has been promoted to vice president of the newly established Product Development Group. In this role, Aumock will lead the development and implementation of new, next generation assessment and learning products. Since joining the organization in 2012, Mike has made notable contributions to Pacific Metrics and to the assessment industry as a whole. He contributed to Pacific Metrics’ PARCC architecture initiative and was the author of the interoperability standards. In addition, he helped develop the item banking solution for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium. Most recently, Aumock was recognized by the IMS Global Learning Consortium for his contributions to the development of interoperability standards in software development. He holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and is an Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer.
Helene Duvin has been promoted to vice president of business development. With over 20 years of experience in the assessment technology industry, Duvin brings a deep understanding of the changing landscape. Her industry knowledge and expertise has allowed Pacific Metrics to expand its market presence and create new demand for next generation products. In this role, Duvin works with prospective clients and partners to identify their needs and propose value-added solutions to advance their business objectives. Prior to joining Pacific Metrics in 2013, Duvin was VP of business development at Pearson, and held a variety of positions at Educational Testing Service, including director of business development for higher education programs and director of operations for the K–12 division. Duvin has also participated in the education division of the Software Information Industry Association, and Consortium on School Networking. She has an MBA from Rider University and a BA in psychology from the University of Richmond.
