ProPatterns, Inc. Launches National Film Contest for Aspiring Anglers
Yankton, South Dakota (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- The film contest, which opened on June 1st, asks fans of the sport professional fishing to create a short video showcasing their talents on the water or education abilities. The film contest, Exposed Eligible?, seeks the next breakout star in the fishing world. The winner of the contest will earn a prize package that includes a day of filming with professional angler Timmy Horton, star of NBC Sports Timmy Horton Outdoors.
ProPatterns, Inc. based in Yankton, South Dakota, serves the fishing community with a variety of innovative digital services, through which angling enthusiasts collaborate and engage with top professionals in the bass fishing industry.
Chad Ekroth, President and CEO of ProPatterns, Inc., founded the company in 2010 as a platform to promote the sport of bass fishing and give fans a home to collaborate and learn from the best anglers in the world. Through partnerships with dozens of the top names in the sport, ProPatterns has made a name for itself on the professional angling circuit by delivering a variety of educational and entertaining content geared toward the outdoor enthusiast.
Central to the success of ProPatterns.com has been its video series Exposed. The innovative behind-the-scenes series, now in its third season, takes fans of professional bass fishing into the boat with champion anglers as they study waters and reveal secrets of the sport in the days leading up to Elite bass fishing tournaments held across North America.
The Exposed Eligible? contest expands upon this platform by asking fans to submit their own short videos. Whether entrants are seeking to break through to the professional ranks or whether they simply wish to share their experience and knowledge about favorite fishing holes, Exposed Eligible? serves as an opportunity for any aspiring angler wishing to showcase his or her talents and passion for the sport. The contest also welcomes entries that focus on the creation of novel fishing techniques or innovative equipment, as well as ethics as it relates to the sport of fishing.
The top ten videos, as voted on by the general public, will have their performances evaluated by a panel of Exposed pros. The winner of the competition will be featured as part of the fourth season of Exposed, which began filming at locations on the Elite trail earlier this year. Ekroth shared this comment about the contest, “We strive to be innovative leaders with our company ideas and education. This competition is about an angler getting the exposure and recognition they deserve without having to sift through all of the expenses involved with self promotion.”
