Springboard Enhances Online Resource Centers To Meet Demand for New Mortgage Programs
Riverside, CA (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- In recognition of June as Homeownership Month, Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management, Inc. (“Springboard”) is pleased to announce new features to its Priority Pre-purchase CounselingSM . online resource centers to meet the growing demands of mortgage lenders, real estate professionals and prospective borrowers for two new federal mortgage programs - Back to Work-Extenuating Circumstances (“Back to Work”) and Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (“HOEPA”).
The U.S. Federal Housing Administration’s Back to Work program shortens the waiting period for eligible borrowers to buy a home to as little as one year following recovery from a financial hardship. HOEPA supports creditors and home loan borrowers obtaining high-cost mortgage loans. Both programs require homeownership counseling from a HUD-approved counseling agency of which Springboard is a respected and experienced provider.
Lenders, realtors and prospective borrowers can request Springboard’s Priority Pre-purchase CounselingSM by visiting either backtoworkprogram.org or HOEPA.org. These user-friendly portals now feature a registration form that allows mortgage lenders and real estate professionals to pre-register their prospective borrowers for the required counseling session.
Springboard has also enhanced their on-line resource center which includes free tools and reference materials on the programs.
“As the demand for these important homeowner programs continue to grow we recognized the need to continue to enhance the availability of our services,” said Heather Shanahan with Springboard’s program development office. “Enhancing our education portals to be even more user-friendly and offer seamless registration for required counseling is a substantial value add.”
To learn more about the Back to Work Program, OEPA or to request Springboard’s Priority Pre-purchase CounselingSM services, consumers, realtors and lenders can visit backtoworkprogram.org or HOEPA.org.
