Special Musical Guest Headlines Chicago’s Premier Charity Art Event
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- Chicago’s premier charity art event is coming to the Chop Shop on Friday June 20th, as the Prime 8 Art League hosts their 3rd annual pop-up gallery exhibition and gala. Featuring a celebration of local and national artists, special DJ set with live vocals by Penguin Prison, food, drink, art-themed activities, and high-end prize raffle, the event raises money benefiting Marwen a not for profit organization that provides free visual arts instruction to underserved Chicago youth. The event serves as a showcase for the winners of the Prime 8 Art League’s annual competition, while bringing together people, businesses, and organizations from across the Chicago arts community, and beyond, for a worthwhile cause. In addition to the fabulous artwork, curated from artist submissions from around the world, the pop-up gallery event will include a full evening of entertainment and surprises, unlike anything else on the Chicago event calendar.
Music will be provided by local DJ RTST and special guest, Downtown records recording artist Penguin Prison, performing a DJ set with live vocals. Food will be provided by Chop Shop. Beverages will be provided by Revolution Brewing Company and Red Bull. Red Bull will also sponsor a range of unique activities within the event. Local artist-designed footwear merchant BucketFeet will be offering product giveaways, in addition to one of the best prize raffles anywhere.
General admission tickets ($25) include admission to the event and two (2) drink tickets. $40 VIP tickets include event admission, 2 hours of complimentary beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, light appetizers, private bar and viewing area, and an exclusive gift bag.
