Hundreds of petroleum industry leaders from Australia, North America and throughout the Asia-Pacific region will hear executive speakers and engage in detailed discussions about Australia’s burgeoning unconventional oil and gas resources developments at the 2nd annual DUG Australia conference and exhibition. Hosted by Hart Energy’s new energy information franchise, Oil and Gas Investor Australia, the event is scheduled for 26-28 August 2014 at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane, Queensland.

As an opening day keynote speaker, Senex Energy’s CEO Ian Davies will describe the company’s plans for conventional and unconventional oil and gas resource plays like the Patchawarra Trough in the Cooper Basin, where it holds interests in 1.2 million acres.

With operations in the Cooper, Bowen-Surat and Gunnedah basins, market-leader Santos offers a complete view of Australia's gas supply potential. Santos’ General Manager Colin Cruickshank will consider market demand in the greater Asia-Pacific region when he delivers the opening keynote address to conference delegates.

Other industry speakers confirmed to date include:

  •     Gary Evans, Chairman and CEO, Magnum Hunter Resources
  •     Robbert de Weijer, CEO, Armour Energy Ltd.
  •     Richard Stoneburner, Senior Advisor, Pine Brook Partners and Retired President, BHP Billiton Petroleum
  •     Kevin Schepel, Exec. Vice President, ZaZa Energy Corp.
