AtSite Welcomes Former Mayor as National Advisory Board Member
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- AtSite, a leading provider of smart sustainable building solutions, is pleased to announce that former two-term Austin, TX Mayor, Will Wynn, has joined the Company’s National Advisory Board.
The AtSite National Advisory Board (NAB) functions as a source of strategic market input and advice on the positioning and development of AtSite solutions and technology offerings. The NAB is comprised of distinguished experts who possess substantial market experience and understanding of how the Company’s expertise can best address growing client needs.
Given the depth of his industry knowledge and years of expertise, Mr. Wynn was asked to advise AtSite, as it endeavors to provide innovative solutions that enable organizations to reduce risk and lower costs, while improving the quality and performance of the built environment. Wynn has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with projects large and small. Wynn chaired the Energy Committee of the U.S. Conference of Mayors from 2004 to 2009 and also spent nine years on the Board of Austin Energy, the last six as Chairman. Austin Energy is the 9th largest public electric utility in the country and now regarded as one of the most innovative.
“We welcome the addition of Will Wynn to our National Advisory Board,” said Davor D. Kapelina, AtSite President/CEO and National Advisory Board Co-Chairman. “AtSite is fortunate to have individuals of this caliber to help guide our growth and direction, especially with this depth of knowledge and impressive track record in our industry.”
AtSite’s focus on smart buildings, energy and sustainability is nothing new to Wynn, as he received training from Al Gore at The Climate Project in Nashville and has presented his Austin version of the slideshow that inspired the Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, to hundreds of community groups, business leaders and policy makers in calling for dramatic expansion of climate protection measures, specifically energy efficiency policies.
Wynn has been featured in numerous national publications, such as Time, Newsweek and the Wall Street Journal.
