Thought Leaders from Kaufman Hall and Axiom EPM to Speak about Healthcare’s Transformation at HFMA’s 2014 ANI
Skokie, IL and Portland, OR (PRWEB) June 09, 2014 -- Kaufman Hall (booth #612) announced today that its executives will deliver four presentations highlighting the transition to healthcare’s new business model at the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Annual National Institute (HFMA ANI), June 22-25, in Las Vegas. Presenters will include Kaufman Hall’s Chair and several senior executives, including an executive from Axiom EPM, a leading provider of financial planning and performance management software recently acquired by Kaufman Hall.
HFMA invited Kenneth Kaufman, Chair of Kaufman Hall and a nationally recognized authority on healthcare strategy and finance, to deliver a feature presentation on Tuesday, June 24, at 8:00 AM. The session, titled “Leveraging the New Business Model to Improve Value,” will explain healthcare’s transformation from an inpatient focus to an outpatient focus and the first principles for executives in this new environment.
On Monday, June 23, at 2:15 PM, Kaufman Hall’s Andrew Cohen, Walter Morrissey, and Robert York will address a critical component of health system transformation in their session “Achieving Sustainable Population Health Management.”
As part of HFMA’s Value Project, Kaufman Hall’s Patrick Allen and Kit Kamholz will describe “How Affiliations Can Strengthen Organizations for the New Healthcare Era” on Tuesday, June 24, at 9:30 AM.
In addition, Axiom EPM’s Vice President of Products and Solutions, Jay Spence, will confront the key challenge of cost management in “Transforming Cost Accounting to Improve Service Line Reporting.” The session features Aaron Frazier from LifePoint Hospitals, who will show how LifePoint’s finance team improved the accuracy of service line performance reporting across its 50 hospitals. The session takes place on Tuesday, June 24, at 2:00 PM.
“We are excited to participate again this year at HFMA’s ANI—for the first time with Axiom EPM as part of our organization,” said Kaufman. “It is an outstanding opportunity to share our unified viewpoint about the new healthcare business model, along with the structural and operational changes needed for providers to succeed in the new environment.”
Kaufman Hall will be exhibiting at HFMA ANI in booth #612, and executives from both Kaufman Hall and Axiom EPM will be available for interviews during the conference.
