Belimed Inc. (http://www.belimed.com), part of the Belimed Group, a world leader in Cleaning and Sterile Processing Systems and Solutions in health care and life sciences, has released a new sonic cleaning unit, the UW 565. Designed to address current clinical issues with limited sonic capacity, space, and flexibility, the UW 565 is a single-chamber wash/rinse unit with dual stack tray capacity, and standard cannulated irrigation systems. It fits inline with existing SPD processing sinks and countertops, and yet offers more than twice the capacity of current wash and rinse chamber consoles, in a narrower overall width, ideal for large volumes of both current and future orthopedic, bariatric, MIS, and robotic instruments.
“Response at the IACHSMM show was exciting,” said Alan Campbell, Product Manager, Belimed Inc. “SPD managers immediately saw the UW 565’s unique value. They understand that changes in bariatric and robotic tool design, as well as increased emphasis on sonic cleaning, make this kind of upgrade a necessity for many SPD’s.”
