Chicago, IL – In response to a press release recently issued by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Chicago-based attorney Robert D. Lattas strongly denies all current federal charges pending against him of his alleged involvement in a mortgage loan fraud scheme (United States District Court of Northern District of Illinois, 14-cr-287).

Legal counsel for Lattas, who represented real estate developer and seller Warren N. Barr III of 13th & State, LLC, says Lattas did nothing more than serve as a real estate lawyer on behalf of his client and that Lattas did nothing in violation of the law.

“We are going to have a trial and at trial, we will show that Mr. Lattas did nothing wrong,” said Edward Genson, legal counsel for Lattas in upcoming court proceedings.
