The HMHP Foundation recently received a $3,000 donation for the Joanie’s Promise Fund from the Junior League of Youngstown.
Representatives from the Junior League board and co-chairwomen of the organization’s Pink Ribbon Tea committee presented the donation to Gina Marinelli, major gifts officer at the HMHP Foundation, and Juli Dulay, manager of the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, May 30 in the garden at the breast care center.
Joanie’s Promise provides comprehensive diagnostic breast services to any uninsured or underinsured woman who meets financial eligibility requirements. Last year, Joanie’s Promise provided mammograms and other diagnostic breast services to more than 720 women.
The fund was established to ensure that every woman who needs breast services has access to the best diagnostic services available regardless of her ability to pay.
