The Hartz Mountain Corporation, the manufacturer of Hartz® UltraGuard® flea and tick products, is proud to announce its partnership with nationally recognized veterinarian, Dr. Bernadine Cruz. Together, they are bringing attention to the importance of preventative flea and tick care for the family pet. According to a 2013 Gallup study, fleas are the top reported health problem reported by dog and cat owners. In 2013 alone, 33% of dog owners cited that their dog had a problem with fleas.
For over 50 years, Hartz flea and tick products have kept pets happy, healthy and thriving. Dr. Cruz has aligned with Hartz to bring attention and increased importance of preventative care for the family pet.
“As a practicing veterinarian for over 20 years, I know how important it is to protect your pet from fleas and ticks,” said Dr. Cruz. “I am thrilled to partner with the Hartz team to educate pet owners about the importance of Flea & Tick prevention and treatment.”
Dr. Cruz, host of “The Pet Doctor” on Pet Life Radio, has spent her life working toward better health for pets. Dr. Cruz considers herself a ‘pet pediatrician’ as well as a ‘pet parent,’ and has made pets her priority for over 20 years. It is with this in mind, that she partners with Hartz to lend her expertise to reinforce the benefits of using the appropriate Flea & Tick products.
“Our mission is to educate consumers about the importance of flea and tick protection,” said Kimberly Cassar, Divisional Vice President for Hartz. “We are thrilled to be working with Dr. Cruz to provide pet owners with a valuable resource to help guide important decisions for their pets.”
