Demi Lovato, the 21-year-old native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been active in the music business since before she was a teenager and all her experience has helped her become a star. Six years ago, she was just 15 and had already released her first solo album and has since worked toward being one of the biggest young stars in the music business. The talented artist first became a known commodity for her role in the television show, Barney & Friends. A lot has happened between now and then including the most recent news that she will be heading out on a worldwide tour beginning in September at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Md. and ending at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Lovato has released four albums in her career including Don’t Forget, Here We Go Again, Unbroken and Demi. The latter was released last May and is the only album that hasn’t been certified gold in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America. That album has spawned the release of two popular singles, “Neon Lights,” and “Really Don’t Care,” featuring Cher Lloyd. These are two songs that fans are hoping to hear her perform live. Other notable songs fans will hope to hear include “Let it Go,” from the Frozen soundtrack, “Heart Attack,” “Give Your Heart a Break,” “Here We Go Again,” and “Skyscraper.”
Joining Lovato on the tour will be two acts that fans around the world love, Christina Perri and MKTO. The 27-year-old Perri is known for releasing several massive hits including “Jar of Hearts,” “A Thousand Years,” and “Human.” MKTO is made up of Malcolm Kelly and Tony Oller, and has released one solo album, which opened at No. 1 in Australia. Fans will know them for their singles, “Thank You,” “Classic,” and “God Only Knows.”
When Lovato hits the road for the Demi World Tour, she will be travelling to many of the biggest venues in the world. At such a young age, Lovato has already established herself as an artist that can play these larger venues without showing any fear or worry. Among the venues that the talented musician will play at during this tour include the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.; United Center in Chicago, Ill.; Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.; PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C.; AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas; and Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
