AML Adds The Guardian Fixed-Mount Computer to Its Product Line
Euless, TX (PRWEB) June 09, 2014 -- AML, a leading manufacturer of barcode and data collection products, has announced the introduction of the Guardian, a rugged but cost-effective fixed-mount computer ideally suited for non-hand-carry data collection applications such as being mounted to a forklift or used in a stationary shop floor application.
The new Guardian features a 7”color TFT display with touch panel and 1GHz processor running Windows Embedded Compact 7. It comes standard with 4GB of internal memory and the option to add an SDHC for even more storage. 802.11b/g/n radio connectivity and Bluetooth are both standard as well. It can accept input power between 6 and 32VDC so it can be operated on a wide range of vehicles and forklifts, but can also be operated using a 110VAC power adaptor.
For shop floor applications, the Guardian is equipped with an array of standard interfacing capabilities such as Ethernet, USB Host, USB OTG, RS-232, RS-422, CAN bus, and user programmable GPIO. The Guardian can be mounted using a standard VESA 50 mounting device or a RAM mount attachment.
"The Guardian is an extremely versatile device that will make an impact in warehousing and manufacturing, as well as many commercial applications where a small footprint and 24-7 reliability are critical," said Mike Kearby, president, AML. "AML has a reputation for providing cost-effective data collection products and we are proud to introduce the Guardian as the latest in our offering of sensible solutions."
