VAL Health Expands Leadership Team with Justin Whitehead, Chief Technology Officer and Russell Carrington, Vice President

Justin Whitehead joins VAL Health as Chief Technology Officer, and Russell Carrington joins as Vice President.
Justin is an experienced leader, innovator and seasoned software developer. He brings firsthand knowledge of scaling established and developing new solutions. At VAL Health Justin is responsible for the development of the VAL Health Rewards platform and building the teams behind it. Justin was previously with FactSet Research Systems where he created, developed and led the highly successful fixed income and portfolio analysis products. While at FactSet he rapidly grew a small team of 3 to and organization of 40 employees. The systems he designed were built from the ground up with security, scalability and extensibility in mind. Following his entrepreneurial passion, Justin later served as acting Chief Technology Officer for multiple startups in the greater New York City area. Justin holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Russell brings operational expertise and analytical strength to the VAL Health team. As Vice President, Russell leads the evidence-based incentive program design and manages deployments across client settings including health insurers, corporations, and governments. Prior to VAL Health, Russell was Chief Operating Office of Thermaphase Energy, where he directed a team of Ph.D. researchers to secure grants and gain IP protection while developing ground-breaking renewable energy technology. Russell was also a Consultant at Keystone Strategy, in San Francisco and Abu Dhabi, where he applied data analytics to solve complex strategic issues facing global technology companies. Russell holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.Sc. from Rice University, both in mechanical engineering.
